REFERENCE

Reference litterature like Websters dictionary and Encyclopaedica Brittannica (EB) have always been important for journalists since they qoute the commonly accepted version of facts:
Ex: EB:s editors will have given a lot of thought to what they call Taiwan. A part of China or a sovereign state? The wording becomes political and contentious the minute you publish and if your story is not ABOUT the naming of the island you can use the definition established by a respected source like EB.
Same thing with how to phrase things, spelling. AP style-book and TT språket are essential to get it right.
